Diabetes mellitus is a serious endocrine dysfunction which is developed due to relative or profound insulin deficiency or due to inability of the cells to interact with insulin, due to which and increase levels of glucose in blood are developed. The disease is characterized by disorders of carbohydrate, lipid, protein, mineral and water-electrolyte metabolism.
