Women's Health

 

Being a healthy women means to have a healthy organism, excellent family relationships, healthy children and successful career. Women's health includes specific issues related to women's anatomy and physiology such as female genitals, breast, hormonal changes, contraception, menstruation, pregnancy, breastfeeding, menopause, female diseases and others. Being a healthy and successful women always requires from females to keep good care of their health state. All of these include:

  • regularly passing specific screening tests
  • heaving a healthy lifestyle that includes appropriate nutrition and physical exercises
  • prophylaxis of female diseases

Regular passing the screening test will help to determine the beginning of the disease in incipience. This will give the possibility to start  corresponding treatment before to disease begin to develop.

The most important tests include:

 

  • Mammograms- are the X-ray photographs of the breast.
  • Pap smears (or Pap test) is used to detect any changes in the cervix cells.
  • Cholesterol test will help you define a risk for heart attacks.
  • Colorectal cancer tests.  Colorectal cancer begins in the colon or rectum(large intestine). Getting colorectal tests will help you doctor find polyps or cancer in the early stages.
  • Diabetes tests
  • Tests for sexually transmitted diseases(STD)
  • Bone mineral density test

Actually, the best way to retain women health is practicing a healthy lifestyle. What does it mean? Take care of your body weight. Excess body weight can increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes or hormonal disturbances.

Try to be physically active.  Practice swimming, jogging or simply walking not less then 30 minutes a day.

 

Try not to drink too much alcohol. If you are pregnant you should avoid drinking alcohol at all.

 

Do not smoke. Smoking increases the risk of oncological, heart and lung diseases.

 

Try to create warm family atmosphere at home. All of these will help you maintain your women health for a long time.
