Indications
| EPA plays an integral role in the proper functioning and structure of the brain. EPA may improve the cardiovascular system by reducing the stickiness of platelets in the blood and by lowering blood pressure. It is also converted into prostaglandins (hormone-like substances which control many bodily functions) and leukotrienes (important for the correct functioning of the immune system) which regulate inflammation and pain, and also help to maintain healthy joints.
EPO is an excellent source of the omega-6 fatty acid gamma-linolenic acid (GLA). This fatty acid is vital for the structure of the brain – it ensures that cell membranes are permeable, thus contributing to efficient brain function. EPO is also converted into prostaglandins which regulate inflammation, pain, blood clotting and fluid balance. Directions
| • Adults should routinely take between 2 and 4 Vegepa capsules daily, not exceeding 10 in any 24-hour period
• Children below 12 years should take 1 Vegepa capsule daily, not exceeding 2 in any 24-hour period
Vegepa should preferably be taken with food. It may take up to 3 months for the fatty acids in Vegepa to reach the optimum levels in the body, before the full beneficial effects become apparent. Results may be quicker if one’s diet is healthy and balanced.
